Funding for Child Care Programs
Operations
Child Care Operating Funding (CCOF) assists with the day-to-day costs of running a licensed child care facility. The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) lowers the cost of child care for parents each month. Parents do not need to apply for the fee reduction. Community Gaming Grants support eligible not-for-profit organizations that deliver community programs that benefit the citizens of British Columbia.
Staff wages
As part of Government's Early Care and Learning Recruitment and Retention Strategy, Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) working in licensed child care facilities are eligible to receive a $4 per hour wage enhancement.
Projects – capital or maintenance
The Childcare BC Maintenance Fund helps licensed child care facilities address maintenance issues that may impact children’s health, safety, or well-being, or cause a facility to close.
Start up
The ChildCareBC New Spaces Fund provides funding to create new licensed child care, helping families access, affordable, quality, and inclusive child care as a core service they can depend on, while strengthening communities throughout British Columbia.
