Job Title: After School Child Care Worker
Child Care Program: KIDZ Club – Sechelt
City or Town: Sechelt
The KIDZ CLUB Worker initiates activities, helps prepare snack, and supervises children in kindergarten to grade 7, in accordance with Ministry Childcare Regulations. Working with the KIDZ CLUB Manager, the worker:

• Creates a welcoming environment for children
• Connects and communicates with children and parents in a warm and respectful manner
• Helps implement arts, crafts, games and physical activities for a wide range of ages and developmental stages
• Provides safe supervision of free play activities
• Helps children problem solve, resolve conflicts, and develop social/friendship skills
• Is active, fun, playful, while setting clear boundaries as necessary

Candidate must provide:

• A clear criminal record check
• Immunization record/or letter of conscientious objection
• Current Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate (or equivalent)
• Documents verifying minimum of 20 hours of education or training relating to nutrition, childhood development, guidance etc.
• Three references
• To meet Licensing Ratio requirements, candidate must be minimum 19 years of age.

Casual and part time, Monday to Friday, 2pm - 5:30pm (subject to licensing requirements) Additional hours for staff meetings, Professional Development (Pro D), and Early Dismissal Days will be scheduled.  Starts at $23.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
