About Us
Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) centres make it easier for families to find and access responsive and inclusive quality licensed and registered child care by providing information, support, resources and referral services to parents and child care providers across the province.
The Ministry of Education and Child Care provides funding to CCRRs, which work in partnership with government to improve the accessibility, affordability, and quality of child care in all B.C. communities.
CCRRs help connect families with the early years programs and child care services. We refer parents to child care providers and community services, access to quality resources and lending libraries, workshops, drop-in programs. We also provide consultation, support and parenting information.
CCRRs provide support services and consultations to all child care providers to foster quality inclusive care through services such as workshops and training, networking opportunities, supportive program outreach, access to lending libraries, referrals to community resources, drop-in programs, and listing in a registry of licensed and license-not-required child care providers.

Nancy Carter
Program Outreach and Support Hi all! I have been with the Sunshine Coast CCRR for four years now. I am an Early Childhood Educator, and before I moved to the Sunshine Coast I was a preschool teacher for 20 years in North Vancouver. My passion is being with children: learning alongside them, being curious with them, and always discovering something new, especially in nature! I have raised my 3 children and now get to reap the rewards of being a grandparent. So worth it! I am happy to be getting to know and support families on the Sunshine Coast. What a wonderful place to raise a family! Michal Morley Office and Support Hello! I was born on the Sunshine Coast and moved to the Lower Mainland to raise my family. I have now relocated back to the Sunshine Coast where I enjoy the laid-back lifestyle, the ever-changing elements, and beautiful nature it has to offer. When I became a new mother, I joined the local mother-and-infant group as well as the parent-and-tot group. I found it to be a positive, fundamental, and unforgettable experience. It was programs like these that drove me to get involved with the public sector. Community service is something that has been very dear to my heart throughout my life. Please feel free to come and say hi the next time you visit our Lending Library. Tracy Wright Program Lead I've worked for Sunshine Coast Community Services and the CCRR Program for many years--since 2005! I started out as the team's Office and Lending Library Manager and then in 2021 moved into the position of Program Lead. I am an Early Childhood Educator and love supporting and advocating for our child care community in any way I can. I also love connecting with other child care and early learning professionals to find ways to make our services more inclusive and holistic. I am passionate and creative in my work and in my life, and I'm always interested in new ideas and ways of being. After 20 years living in Sechelt, I finally consider myself to be deeply rooted in this community. Lisa Grisewood Program Outreach and Support I am an Early Childhood Educator and have worked in childcare for over 30 years, primarily operating licensed childcare in my home before joining the CCRR team. Learning and exploring together with children is my passion! I feel strongly that children deserve the best care possible! Working alongside childcare providers and families to support their journey with children is an honour and a joy for me. I’m grateful to have called Gibsons home for most of my life and to have been able to raise 4 amazing people together with my husband. |
