POSITION: Permanent Full-Time – Early Childhood Educator (ECE) & Infant Toddler Educator (ITE)
LOCATION: Little Scholars Child Care Centre – 5895 Reef Road Sechelt, BC
Are you passionate about fostering growth, discovery, and joy in young children? We’re looking for a creative, caring, and committed ECE or ITE to join our supportive team in beautiful Sechelt. We provide a warm, welcoming environment where educators are valued, children are engaged, and learning happens through meaningful play and connection.

Serendipity Child Development Center is seeking ECE and ECEA professionals.
The right candidates should be fun, energetic, dependable, organized and team orientated. You should come armed with a love for working with children and fostering their development in a fun, safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Come work in our lively, well-established, and respected community childcare centre.
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Wage: $25.00 per hour. Extended medical and dental coverage (50% shared cost with employer) Available hours: part time, M-F. Could lead to full time.
Qualifications: Valid ECE or ECEA license to practice in B.C.. Valid First Aid Certification. Valid Food Safe Certification. Knowledge of licensing requirements and familiarity with the applicable codes, statutes, and acts. Subject to successful criminal record check. Reference checks will be conducted.

What We Offer:
- A collaborative team of two ECEs, two Infant Toddler Educators, eight dedicated assistants, and an ECE student currently completing her practicum
- An average of 25 curious, energetic, and eager-to-learn children per program
- A thoughtfully structured program with:
- Two circle times daily
- Tabletop activities in both morning and afternoon
- Outdoor play in the morning and afternoon
- Full-time: IT is for Monday to Friday 8 hours/day, in the Infant/Toddler Program. Paid 1-hour lunch break
- The ECE is full time 9am-1pm in the Preschool with an additional paid 1-hour prep time.
- Statutory holidays off
- Wages starting at $30.00/hour, based on education and experience

- ECE or Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) license – required
- ITE and/or Special Needs Educator (SNE) license – strong assets
- Emergency First Aid with CPR-C & AED – required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
